The Minister of Industry, Trade and Green and Digital Economy, Mr. Moulay Hafid Elalamy, visits the Irizar Maroc facilities


The visit took place last Friday at the Irizar Maroc facilities in Skhirat and brought together a large number of local suppliers, partners, together with Mr. Mohammed Abouchane, General Manager of Irizar Maroc and several representatives of the company. Mr. Elalamy stressed the importance of promoting manufacturing and the development of a local ecosystem, “We have considerable economic potential and highly qualified skills that offer this sector advantages that can make it one of the most competitive in the industrial sector”. He added that “thanks to the use of public procurement as a catalyst for local manufacturing and the creation of an appropriate ecosystem, Irizar Maroc, with the support of the Ministry of the Interior and the accompaniment of the Ministry of Industry, has managed to meet the challenge of producing buses locally while complying with international requirements”. For his part, Mr. Abouchane has indicated that he is very proud to contribute to the growth and creation of wealth in this country with suppliers, collaborators and people from the country, an unequivocal commitment of Irizar since the creation of Irizar Maroc. Irizar Maroc Irizar Maroc was created in 1996 in Sale and after 12 years of operation, the new plant in Skhirat was inaugurated in 2008 with a production capacity of 500 units per year. Irizar Maroc currently produces the Irizar i6S, Irizar i6 and Irizar i3le models, both for the Moroccan market and for export.
