Irizar UK inaugurates new premises
Irizar has officially celebrated the inauguration of the new Irizar UK premises this morning, accompanied by clients and partners. This step marks a major milestone in Irizar Group’s long-term commitment to the UK market.
The new headquarters, located near Blyth, Nottinghamshire, is aligned with Irizar’s strong UK business performance over the last 3 years, which has seen record numbers of Irizar coaches being delivered into the UK market.
Given the positive projections for the following years, Irizar UK has gone one step further to support future growth while enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency. “This new headquarters is therefore not a short‑term decision. It is a strategic investment that reflects our confidence in the UK market, in our customers, and above all in the Irizar UK team”, highlighted Imanol Rego, Irizar Group CEO. “This new headquarters gives us proximity. It gives us capability. And it gives us the platform to continue bringing advanced, reliable and sustainable technologies closer to our UK customers”, added Rego.
“The Irizar UK team did a great job establishing Irizar in the UK coach sector back in 2011, with an excellent customer base, and consistently achieving strong vehicle numbers. Running a business in the UK over the last decade has been tough, but the real hard work kicked in and we are now in the most successful period in our history”, noted Andrew Blundell, Irizar UK Managing Director. “More than growth and investment, this is about the future of mobility”, declared Blundell.
This strategic move encourages Irizar to continue the path of decarbonization. Irizar is continuously investing in innovative technologies that adapt to different operational needs, duty cycles and client realities. In accordance, Irizar’s Efficient range offers a multi-technology solution.
This latest-generation range of vehicles presents major advances, including aerodynamic improvements, weight reduction and energy efficiency to reduce the cost of ownership while cutting emissions. “For us, engineering excellence is one of the most powerful tools for sustainability”, highlighted Rego.
Move to the new facilities
Irizar UK officialy moved into its new headquarters back in February 2026. With its new headquarters now fully operational and momentum continuing into 2026, Irizar UK is well positioned to build on its recent success and support customers across the UK with renewed confidence and capability.
The new headquarters provides Irizar UK with a modern showroom, dedicated coach handover areas, office accommodation, and extensive coach parking, along with workshop and warehousing capability for the launch of a new Parts business, scheduled for summer 2026.
Mark Jordan, promoted to Operations and Aftersales Director
Irizar UK has announced the promotion of Mark Jordan to Operations and Aftersales Director, further strengthening its senior management team following the successful move into its new headquarters in Blyth, Nottinghamshire.
Jordan was previously appointed to the newly created role of Head of Aftersales and has now seen his responsibilities expand to encompass the complete vehicle lifecycle. His remit covers vehicles from their point of entry into the UK, through preparation and delivery, and into full aftersales support, ensuring a seamless and consistent experience for customers.
A well-known and respected figure within the coach industry, Jordan brings more than 30 years of engineering experience and has worked closely with Irizar UK since its inception in 2011, firstly as a customer, and latterly as part of the team.
Sam Williams, new UK Parts Manager
Irizar UK has announced the appointment of Sam Williams as UK Parts Manager, representing the next phase of its strategic development and supporting the upcoming launch of its in-house parts supply business, scheduled for summer 2026. Bringing extensive sector-specific experience, Williams will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the new parts operation.
A key element of Irizar UK’s ongoing business transition, the establishment of a dedicated parts distribution operation— from its new location in Blyth, Nottinghamshire—marks a significant step forward in enhancing the company’s ability to directly support customers throughout their Irizar ownership journey.
The new parts business will sit alongside Irizar UK’s growing in-house pre-delivery inspection (PDI) and service capabilities, forming a comprehensive portfolio of wrap-around support. This integrated approach is designed to ensure customers benefit from a seamless ownership experience, underpinned by expert support at every stage.
Ultimately, the initiative reinforces Irizar UK’s well-established personal approach to business, now strengthened with tangible, value-added in-house capabilities. By expanding its operational scope, the company is positioning itself as a key stakeholder in helping customers optimise total cost of ownership.
