Irizar ie tram to debut in San Sebastian

Irizar's 100% electric articulated Irizar ie tram is set to make its debut this summer in San Sebastian. The bus will operate on line 28, Amara-Hospitales, which is the Basque Country's busiest bus route in terms of passengers per year. The Irizar ie tram will be charged via pantograph at the final stop on the route in Miramon, a process that will take around 5-6 minutes. The new Irizar ie tram was on show yesterday to the mayor, Eneko Goia, who visited Irizar's plant in Aduna alongside Mobility Councillor, Pilar Arana, and the managing director of Dbus, Igor Gonzalez, in order to get a first-hand look at the new vehicle developed in Gipuzkoa.
