The Irizar i3 BEV and the Irizar i4 GNC receive the Environmental Product Declaration
At Irizar, we continue to build on our commitment to sustainability and efficient mobility, and today, on World Environment Day, we are celebrating the development and verification of two new Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for two models in our Efficient range of sustainable vehicles:
The Irizar i3 BEV, the new 100% electric coach developed to improve the efficiency of Class II intercity vehicles, and the Irizar i4 CNG, a vehicle designed for metropolitan use, fully versatile and adapted to the needs of each operator, powered by compressed natural gas.

Using a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) in accordance with ISO 14040 and ISO 14044, the environmental impacts associated with all stages of the life cycle of both vehicles have been assessed, from the extraction of raw materials to the end of their useful life. Furthermore, the corresponding Environmental Product Declarations have been developed in accordance with ISO 14025 and the requirements set out in the Product Category Rules (PCR 2016:04 Public and Private Passenger Buses and Coaches).
This latest recognition reinforces our commitment to sustainability, technological innovation and the continuous improvement of our products’ environmental footprint. With the addition of these two new declarations, there are now five Irizar vehicles that hold an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), consolidating our position as a leader in the integration of environmental and sustainability criteria into the development of passenger transport solutions.
