Always close to you

March 2020

We’ve spent the last few weeks trying to adapt to new and unprecedented circumstances due to the coronavirus pandemic. These are challenging, uncertain and unstable times, during which everyone’s activity has declined sharply.

As a result of the state of alarm announced by the government and the ensuing transport restrictions, mobility is greatly affected, effectively limiting travel to all except those for whom it is a necessity. We know that lots of you are making a remarkable effort and are doing your part. That’s why, from us here at Irizar, we would like to acknowledge your efforts and give you all our most sincere thanks for doing all that you can to help overcome this situation.

It’s time for us to protect our families and the people in our organisation and to act responsibly towards society. It’s also time, however, for us to focus all of our energy on continuing to fulfil our commitments to our clients, while also offering a high-quality service wherever and whenever it is needed.

It’s not going to be easy but, as we have proved time and again over the course of our 131-year history, we’ll emerge at the other side of this crisis stronger than ever. We must think positive! The opportunities will still be there and, with the effort and commitment of all, we will continue to overcome new challenges.

I just wanted to pass on a message of confidence, because at Irizar, we are working on, and will continue to do so, the values that make our brand so strong. And we’ll do this, just as we have up until now, by taking advantage of our privileged position as a global leader in buses and coaches, by investing in new technological developments and backing mobility that is efficient, safe, comfortable and sustainable, not just today, but for many years to come. We will continue placing our clients at the centre of all that we do. That’s why, now more than ever, we must—and want to be—as close to you as we can.

I am making myself available to everyone—clients, collaborators, institutions and the press—to help you as much as I can during these troubling times.

Last, but definitely not least, I would like to extend this acknowledgement and show our unfailing solidarity to those who continue to work tirelessly to defuse this situation, and offer our wholehearted support to those who are suffering as a result of it.

Thank you once again for your continued support and confidence, and we hope that you and your loved ones are staying safe.
