IRIZAR, S. Coop. as part of
its strategic thoughts and mission contemplates society in
general as something else to be satisfied in its strategy
and management model.
Therefore, in May 1998 we decided to collaborate with 0.7%
of the profits from the previous year in a cause of significant
social interest.
Two aims in mind:
We thought that it would be difficult to decide how to
carry out the first aim and for what reason. So we
decided to be
on the lookout for possible solutions.
In the end, we decided that the General Secretariat
for Action Abroad of the Presidency of the Basque
Government and its
area of Third World aid should channel and process
our collaboration this year, for Central America.
It is our intention to continue with this idea
and every year we shall look at the needs, as
well as the reasons and
how to carry it out.
Finally, we should like to call on other organisations
to collaborate generously in a task of great
social interest,
insofar as possible which is what 0.7% represents.
