THE IRIZAR GROUP RECORDS A 22% INCREASE IN SALES THANKS TO ITS GLOBALISATION STRATEGY.

Thanks to the decision taken eight years ago to expand its markets rather than its range of products and to set up new projects in countries such as China, America and India, the IRIZAR GROUP just keeps growing.

During the first four months of 2001, the Group’s sales increased by 22% to 14,620 million pesetas (88 million €), as opposed to the 11,990 million pesetas (72 million €) recorded for the same period last year.

Sales for the Ormaiztegi plant remained stable at 9,220 million pesetas (55 million E), a figure very similar to last year’s results, and the decrease in Israel’s profits were offset by significant increases in countries such as Italy, Ireland, Sweden and Poland.

The figure for foreign projects totalled 5,400 million pesetas (32.5 million €), a 100% increase over the previous year, mainly as the result of Brazil’s economic recovery and the continued growth of IRIZAR MEXICO.
